He was born in dallas, but grew up in oak cliff texas, just south of dallas. It's a 2 bedroom house, and looks the same as it did when he lived there. He's buried in dallas at the same cemetery as my grandmother. I'm proud to be from the dallas area where legends like stevie ray, pantera (dime and vinny), drowning pool, and so many other bands and musicians have put their stamp on the music scene. He was way ahead of his time, and is greatly missed, just as the Abbot brothers are (Dime and Vince....pantera, damageplan, hell yeah).

I know Blondie was rapping in a song in the late 70’s. Other white performers here and there though to the Beastie Boys who were awesome. George Michael, when he was with the band Wham had the song Wham Rap and Young guns. I loved wham and still dork out to those songs🤣.
